Project

Field(s) Theatre, Performance
Description  B Glad Production was founded in 2010 in Zagreb with the aim of raising the Croatian theater cultural scene at a European level. The main activity is independent productions of musicals and other theatre performances in Croatia and abroad, with a special emphasis on discovering and nurturing young talent. Accordingly, one of the goals is to organize workshops and training of young artists and theater enthusiasts.According to the forms of production taken over from Broadway, musicals produced by an independent B GLAD Production  brought closer the Croatian to European cultural scene to which can contribute grand successes of the previous two major projects. Debut “Footloose The Musical” lifted Croatia at the feet of the professionalism of the entire creative team and commitment performers, thanks to which this musical has seen by more than 100,000 viewers. In order to justify the confidence of a new audience, the creative team has launched a new project, original Croatian musical “Black House – Musical in color” which experienced incredible criticism of the profession and the public. In only two years of playing, the play was seen by more than 50,000 viewers.B Glad Production is dedicated to working with professional performers, choreographers, writers and entrepreneurs with extensive experience in Croatia, Europe and beyond, in order to reach the level of production of the musical worthy integration of the Croatian cultural scene in Europe. That is one of the long-term goals as well as international cooperation with experts in the same areas to create a synergy of artistic vision and to support the programme Creative Europe.Given the diversity of national and regional strategies of European regions and the ever-increasing need for artistic collaborations and training, we are able to launch renowned and talented artists and creative people where their broad knowledge and experience can be transferred in a creative way. In this context, the basic idea of the platform would be reduced to periodic workshops held by international producers, choreographers, performers and artists who would create a strategy plan for coherent theater forms and cultural events through panel meetings. This could lead to formalization of a unique European theatre scene, and at the same to nurturing national wealth and tradition of all members of the  platforms.Type of competition: The European Union’s Creative Europe (Sub-program Culture) – Support for European platforms

Project

Field(s) The music, the theater, the dance.
Description The project is based on the idea of the platform which can link people who are leading music bands or theater troupes or dance teams with people who are leading cultural institutions or NGO’s (Hosts) operating in the fields of music, theater and dance.  The intention is that both sides will want to meet together on a tournee. Why the tournee? Because it’s  more cost-effective than the single performance, for both sides. The platform  will thus help young and new artists to develop their talent and will be helpful in gaining experience.  The platofrm will give Hosts an opportunity of  inviting and hosting artists from abroad.Partners will be responsible for  the promotion in own country,  translation of a context menu to the local language and (if necessary) for helping in researches of local music bands, theater troupes and dance teams. The beta webiste is under the address: www.tournee.byethost9.com/oxwall

Project

Field(s) Contemporary art
Description Our main aim is to foster the recognition and visibility of emerging talents and to enhance the international mobility of cultural actors. Art education of the young generations and those in difficulty is also crucial. Finally, our aim is to present contemporary art in unusual, new venues. The Platform intends to base its activity on two main programmes:

  • “Exhibition in Theatres and Concert Halls”

Each of the participating 10 artists (1 artists/country) – chosen by an independent, international jury – will have 4 solo shows in various theatres or concert halls of certain of the 10 participating countries. The same scheme will apply for the second year of the programme, with the participation of 10, new artists and new venues.

2) Art education programme

Our Members get in contact with young contemporary artists and/or art historians having excellent communication skills making them suitable for the organisation of lectures and for the chairing of workshops.

As a next step, the Members will look for educational institutions not having an artistic education programme yet (institutions dealing with students in difficulty have priority) but who are open for a cooperation. In these institutions, the chosen artists and art historians lead workshops or have lectures that present contemporary artworks and the process of creating art in an easy-to-understand, interesting and interactive way. The goal of these sessions is to build a future, art-loving audience, to create direct contact between artists and audience and finally to creating interaction within the local community.
